Revelationz Studio/ Cherry Tree Lane | Behind the Scenes

Tera from Armosa asked me if I wanted to assist at a commercial shoot she had lined up. Of course I said HECK YES!! So I thought I would post some of the shots I got when I wasn’t holding the reflector :) Also, some behind the scenes shots so you can see Wes and Tera in action! Hair and Makeup was done by Revelationz Studio and the dresses are from Cherry Tree Lane. Enjoy!

Zac and Lisa :: AFV

Ok, so I have been so bad about updating lately! (For those who have gotten on to me… I am sorry.) Its slow season…But its about to pick up…so hang with me! :) BUT…in the mean time, check out this shoot that my very good friend Linley Craig set up. I got a few pictures of the details, but not enough to do it justice. She is great at visioning things like this!  This was for fun at the end of the summer. Linley’s brother Zac and his girlfriend Lisa were sweet enough to pose for us.  enjoy!

I mean for real!!???  Lisa, leave some fierceness for the rest of us, k?

In other news my friend/mentor Tera Wages and her husband Wes just won $10,000 on Americas Funniest Home Videos and BOY did they deserve it. Best video ever. Here it is in case you missed it!

floodgates {music}

This is a group of very talented musicians from Florence. You can listen to them here. and read about them here. They have such a heart for God and they are going to reach many who wouldn’t normally see the gospel being lived. They are already getting some notice from radio stations and websites, so I expect that they are going to have a lot of success in the world of Metal music.

Meet floodgates…classily classless. :)

Cans for Comments {results}

So…thanks to you guys 65 canned goods will be donated to Feeding America, Huntsville!!!!!

Thank you so much for your help! There are hundreds of bloggers around the country who have taken part in Cans for Comments to help feed those less fortunate in their area. It is so cool to see people interact and do something to better their community. We have to be the change we want to see. :)

Happy 1st day of February!

{embrace} monday.

*every breath*

Its so uncontrollable…you are not told when to breathe, yet there you are. Breathing.

Life is passing through your nose and lips. 22,000 times a day. That is pretty intense.

Don’t be afraid to let something beautiful take your breath away. (It will be returned…i promise.)

{embrace} monday.

*silliness*

When taking a 5 hour roadtrip, it is totally ok to plan a fake wedding for a friend  and include the following details:

  • Mr. Tumnas as the officiator
  • the color “snowflake”
  • flower girls who throw snow
  • ice blocks for the guests to sit on
  • exiting in santa’s sleigh
  • an igloo honeymoon.

Never underestimate the freedom of a good laugh.

silliness should most definitely be embraced today. : )

(pssssst! dont forget CANS FOR COMMENTS)

happy monday!

goodbye 2009 :: hello 2010

In 2009 I…

shot my first session. ever. It was an engagement session in Starkville. I was really nervous, I hope I can remember how that day felt forever.

interned for the amazing Wes and Tera Wages. I know I have said it before but I have never been more thankful for an opportunity. ever. Tera filled my mind with knowledge and my heart with inspiration.

Launched my website this little bloggy blog. That was a HUGE day for me. To see something being shared among my friends and family that I put so much heart and time into was beyond exciting.

I joined a discipleship group and to look back and see how God grew all of us through accountability, prayer, truth, and friendship in that group ….I don’t even have words for how special it was and still is.

I shot my first wedding all by myself. It was the kind of day that made me so nervous I could throw up, but I didn’t feel out of place. I am so glad Sydney and Brandon trusted me with their day, knowing I still have SO much to learn.

So many goals reached this year. I feel overwhelmingly blessed.

I have made my list for 2010… many challenges to face head on. I may fall flat on my face. But, I am still going to give it my best.

I hope everyone has had a great holiday season. I will be out of touch until the 6th. I am attending Passion 2010 in ATL

**ALSO**

For the month of January (starting this post) I am taking part in Cans for Comments. This is such a neat idea, and I am inspired by the number of bloggers participating!

For every comment left on posts from now until the end of January I will donate a canned good to Feeding America Huntsville. So tell friends. A lot of them. My goal is to get 100. (but more would be AWESOME!)

LETS DO THIS!

Happy New Year! : )
